Today I was surprised to come home and find two AT&T service representatives in my backyard. They had propped open my gate (my yard is completely fenced in) due to the fact that I have two dogs which have free rein of the back yard when I'm away. The question I have is what rights do AT&T have to gain access to my yard when there are no poles or AT&T equipment in my backyard? When I asked them what they were doing, all they told me was that they had a right to be in my backyard although they also stated that they made a mistake and that the equipment they needed to service was in my neighbors yard. Does AT&T have the right to come onto my property without advance notice or my permission in this case?

AT&T is full of it I wonder why Cox doesn't have easem*nts? And all of AT&T's customer support agents are in a foreign country. Shame on you! Your service is terrible!!!!

Because they attach to others poles so it's whoever owns the poles. Also most are just utility easem*nts that any utility can use, they're not just for AT&T. As far as overseas call centers, I agree, it's all about greed not service.

The box in my yard says AT&T. There are instructions to call 811 before
digging.
