The Sims 4 FAQ: Can Sims be Arrested? (1)

There are ten career paths available in The Sims 4 and one of them if the Criminal career. If your Sim chooses this career path, they will get rewarded for being bad. This leads us to a frequently asked question.

Can Sims get arrested? Sims working in the criminal career can be arrested if they are caught doing something illegal. They will then be brought to jail where they will be spending a variable number of hours depending on the gravity of their deeds.

There are 3 criminal career branches in the game:

  1. Entry-level criminal career (ranks 1 to 5)
  2. Boss career (ranks 6 to 10)
  3. Oracle career (ranks 6 to 10)

Your Sim’s criminal life is not very lucrative at the beginning. They’ll need to complete all sorts of tasks and assignments (like being mean to other Sims, pickpocketing, trolling the forums and so on) to build their skills and climb the criminal ladder. Playful is the most important mood to have at this stage.

But your Sim won’t earn too much money at this stage. Payment varies between 9 simolens per hour for level 1 to 32 simoleons for level 5.

Once your Sim has reached level 5, you need to select one of the two possible branches (Boss or Oracle) to continue the activity. Keep in mind that once your Sim picked their new branch, this can never be undone. There is no going back once you decided which path to pursue — even if your Sim stops being a criminal. At this stage, the ideal mood to have is Focused.

This is the stage where your criminal Sim will start making a lot of money. The earnings for the Boss Branch level 6 start at §106 while level 10 can bring your Sim§445 per hour. Your Sim can expect to cash in§43 working in the Oracle branch level 6 and§316 for level 10.

That’s not bad at all after getting only peanuts during the first 5 levels.

And now you know.
