Can EDI survive ME3? ›

Edi survives in two of the three endings of Mass Effect 3.

EDI is not romanceable by Shepard in Mass Effect 3. EDI can, however, pursue a relationship with Joker depending on Shepard's conversation choices: Talk to EDI and Joker in the Presidium Commons early in the game. Talk to EDI and Joker in Purgatory later in the game.

Depends how you play. I chose Garrus and Ashley because they were my favorites and they did great. Honestly James's Inferno Ammo helps a lot. I chose Liara and Tali, Tali for her combat drones, and Liara for her singularity.

Mass Effect 3 Consequences

In Priority: Cerberus Headquarters, a Cerberus report reveals that the VI was later modified with tech salvaged from Sovereign. The resulting AI was EDI, who admits to it if asked.

EDI Can Be Restored In The Next Mass Effect Game

This leaves the opportunity to restore EDI to a state before any Reaper upgrades or to fill that space with new tech from the Geth.

Wikia - "If Tali does not survive the events of Mass Effect 2, her role in Mass Effect 3 is replaced by Admiral Shala'Raan vas Tonbay." Actually it's Admiral Xen but w/e. They all get replaced by some lesser being. Tali and Garrus don't join you obviously.

Courting Garrus Vakarian

Garrus Vakarian is only available for Female Shepards, who can begin to court him after you've completed his Loyalty Mission, Garrus: An Eye For an Eye. Once you complete it, you can begin courting him, which happens in three conversation stages.

Obtaining a new body

While mission Prothean technology on Mars, Shepard's team recovers a Cerberus synthetic, a gynoid masquerading as "Dr. Eva Coré". EDI assists in extracting vital data from the unit, and in the process, she seizes control of the body.

Ashley will still be for Males only, but Kaidan will then be open for both Female and Male Shepards. Tali and Garrus become Romance options in Mass Effect 2, for Male and Female Shepards respectively. You cannot start a romance with them in Mass Effect 3; you must romance them in Mass Effect 2 first.

If you take too long to visit him, he'll die and you'll miss some dialogue. You can check to see if Thane is considered deceased by the game by checking your memorial wall in the Normandy.

This should make it easier for players to reach the threshold to keep Shepard's squad and Earth alive. Players should aim for around 7,800 as their target Total Military Strength score. This is the requirement for unlocking the Perfect Ending and should ensure every possible option is available.

Recommended Squad

You'll be dealing with a lot of fast-moving drones in this level. Tali and Garrus are thus highly recommended for their tech abilities like Overload, Sabotage and AI Hacking.

I just did the rogue VI missoion in mass effect 1. On the end of the mission you get something written in binary. 01001000 01000101 01001100 01010000. That binary means "HELP" I know that the VI is actually EDI.

In some places like Tvtropes and other boards, they mention that "According to the writers", EDI and the Geth survive the destroy ending provided your EMS is high enough.

If you DO have 5 Points or more, your plea will succeed, and both the Geth and Quarians will live, as will Tali / Shala'Raan. Legion however will still die, sacrificing himself to disseminate the Reaper code among the Geth.

To get the Perfect Ending in Mass Effect 3 Legendary Edition, you will need to amass at least 7800 Military Strength. The Military Strength in the Legendary Edition is calculated based on all War Assets Shepard acquires. These War Assets can be acquired via choices made throughout the Mass Effect trilogy.
